Your Fiduciary Duty To Your Audience

In an interview with Chris Do of the Futur Podcast, Jordan Harbinger explained that he felt he had a fiduciary duty to his audience to ask the questions they want to ask and not just go through the same boring questions that everyone asks the people that he’s interviewing. If you don’t care about your audience, why should they care about you.

A lot of people that are looking to build their “brand” are in it for selfish reasons. They want to make a lot of money or they want to be famous, etc. These people often burn out and quit sooner or later. However, if you want to actually feel fulfilled in the work that you do, you have to approach what you do through the lens of service. Frame what you do in terms of how you can serve others.

How can I bring benefit to my audience? My audience struggles with X problem, I will create content or a product that helps them with that struggle.
