When you have a barber shop or a restaurant, it makes sense that people have to see your place to want to do business with you.
If no one knows who you exist - if no one knows what value you can provide them - then why would they ever spend money with you? They’re not going to randomly have a dream and come to the conclusion that they need to find you and give you money. Likewise, when you’re trying to build your personal brand, people have to know what value you provide and you have to stay top of mind with people. This can happen in a lot of ways. Advertising, content strategy, etc. But if you’re just starting out, one of the most cost effective ways to stay top of mind is to just have conversations with people and re-engage your dormant connections.
How do you re-engage dormant connections? The people you haven’t spoken to in years, send them a quick text. Update them on how you’re doing and ask what they’re up to.
